Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea James Cameron
Already a certified classic, the Deepsea’s iconic status was elevated even further in 2014 when Rolex released this limited-edition piece. Commemorating James Cameron’s historic dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, this Deepsea flaunts a blue-to-black gradient dial—reminiscent of the dark depths of the famous trench. This Rolex also holds the highest water resistance rating of any watch currently available to the public.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi
A notable piece for two reasons, the first being it is the last Alinghi watch from Audemars Piguet, who sponsored the sailing team for most of the 00s. The second reason being it is one of the first watches ever to be made of forged carbon. This distinct material was specially made by AP itself and is even stronger and lighter than most kinds of carbon fibre, involving a unique mix of fibres and resin.
IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Big Date Zürich
Limited to just 50 pieces, this IWC was introduced in 2019 as a nod to the watchmaker’s very own Zürich boutique. The distinct blue lacquer dial flaunts a sophisticated look while complementing the silver tones of the stainless-steel case. Staying true to the classic Big Pilot’s Watch, this IWC features the usual maxi-crown, as well as the addition of the handy day-date and seconds sub dial.
